Sunshine Bass

The State of Florida has introduced this hybrid Bass to many Florida lakes and rivers.  Unfortunately, the experiment has been deemed a failure as they compete with the natural bass population for food and forage.  Since all stocked Sunshine Bass  were sterile, this species will die out completely in the next ten years.  Here a big Sunshine hides among the cattails waiting for a meal to swim by.
